In a split-perspective drama, the characters of a nativity scene are just “waking up” after being packed away in the attic for most of the year. However, they soon realize that somehow, Jesus has gone missing. On the other side of the stage, the members of the family that the nativity scene belongs to have different responses to the disappearance of the baby figurine. The nativity scene characters reflect on how their story would have been different if the manger were empty. Meanwhile, members of the family discover that love being in the manger is the most important gift of all.
