Why, Jesus?

This short, easy-to-memorize poem for young students asks several questions about the Christmas story. Why, Jesus, were you born in a stable? Why did you choose to be a baby? Why did only shepherds know about your birth?  Why did your family have to run away to Egypt? Why, Jesus, why?

The poem concludes by answering these questions with the simplest—and yet most astounding—answer: because Jesus loved us so very, very much!

Cast: Any number of actors could perform this poem, either speaking in unison for its entirety or by having individuals say certain lines or stanzas.
