Everyone understands feeling weary sometimes–and the busyness of Christmas especially makes this true. This rhyming, poem-style program depicts the weariness of the world and the people in it as they waited for Jesus’ coming. The burdens of the world can only be carried by Jesus, and the piece ends with a celebration of His presence as the one who fills our desires.
The idea for this program was based loosely off the poem “A Christmas Carol” by G.K. Chesterton. This poem could be added to the program and recited either before or after the rest of the text, if desired.
