In this parable-style story, Phineas Hazeltree is given a special quest from King Adonai to deliver a message to the other side of the forest before nightfall. His conscience, in the form of a goose, is sent along to help guide him. Phineas makes many poor choices along the way, and each time he does, his conscience gets harder and harder to hear. Every time he makes a bad decision, the consequence is something that hinders him in his quest. In the end, Phineas is forced to accept defeat, just as the king shows up. King Adonai teaches him the importance of asking for help and inviting someone strong into your weaknesses.
