This Little Light of Mine

In a dark forest, a group of fireflies band together to sing every night. They light up the darkness and help the little animals who live in the forest to find their way home. One night, a few of the fireflies decide to skip the meeting. After all, they reason, their little lights couldn’t possibly make a difference. However, two children wander off the path to follow the errant fireflies, which causes them to get lost. Some other fireflies find the lost children and realize they need to shine bravely in order to lead the children to safety. Part fun story, part parable, this skit will both delight young children and challenge all ages to shine their own lights regardless of the circumstances.

Cast: 17 actors

Could be adapted for 10-27 actors
